I am a web development and marketing professional who has bought and renewed hundreds of domain names, off multiple registrars, in multiple counties. I’ve let them expire, built sites on them, parked, bid (and won), lost, forgotten about, and gotten addicted to them. They’re the only thing in my life I’ve ever enjoyed collecting. This will be a blog and tip guide for those looking to buy their first domain all the way to more advanced searching.
The fact is, it’s a much bigger world than you may think. I bought my first domain about a decade ago and have been intrigued by domaining ever since, but I feel like I have a lot left to explore, and learn new things all the time (which I will likely share).
I will also often talk about web development and marketing too (especially given an extended background in search engine optimization), but usually with a fairly domainer perspective and within the context of this site. It all goes hand-in-hand, really. No website begins without a domain name purchase, and a domain name is essentially a site name or even business name, so it’s serious stuff!
